The Museum

The Museo storico e il Parco del Castello di Miramare is an autonomous state museum of the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) located near Trieste. It was the residence that Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg had built to live there with his wife, Princess Charlotte of Belgium.
The Castle enjoys an exceptional panoramic position, overlooking the sea, and is surrounded by a lush 22-hectare Park rich in precious botanical species, sculptures, fountains and ponds.
