TICKETS

The Museum admission ticket allows for a visit in accordance with a set itinerary that runs along the ground and second floors of the Castle.

Purchase tickets only through official sales channels.

Online reservation and presale service is available 24 hours a day at the following address: https://castellomiramare.vivaticket.it by clicking on the "BUY" button.

Access to the Turret and the Clock Room is not part of the regular tour of the Castle and can only take place on an extraordinary basis during specific events and on specific dates.
It must be requested only by reservation and is possible only if guided by museum staff.

It is mandatory to strictly observe the RULES FOR VISITING THE TURRET.

The Museum Management reserves the right to fully or partially close the site for exceptional reasons of which notice will be given.

Exhibition Kosmos. The sailing ship of knowledge: € 6 (6 – 25 years of age) 

For European Union citizens aged between 18 and 25 years (upon presentation of an ID document). The same conditions apply to citizens of non-EU countries “subject to reciprocity.”
Reservations (made at least one day in advance) are recommended.

The Park is freely accessible from the entrances on Viale Miramare, Grignano and Via Beirut (see opening hours on the side).

Every first Sunday of the month, admission to the Castle is free for all thanks to the initiative of the Italian Ministry of Culture Domenica al Museo (Sunday at the Museum).

Upon presentation at the ticket office of a document stating the following specific conditions:

  • European Union citizens under the age of 18, as well as non-EU minors;
  • European Union citizens with disabilities and a family member or other accompanying person who can provide proof that they are entitled to social and health care services (Italian Ministerial Decree No. 239 of 20 April 2006);
  • Citizens of non-EU countries “subject to reciprocity” (children under 12 must be accompanied);
  • Tour guides from the European Union when carrying out their professional activities, by showing a valid license issued by the competent authority; tour interpreters from the European Union when their work alongside the guide is needed, by showing a valid license issued by the competent authority; to Ministry of Culture staff;
  • Members of I.C.O.M. (International Council of Museums);
  • Groups of students from public and private schools in the European Union, accompanied by their teachers, with prior reservation and within the limit set by the head of the institution;
  • Students of higher education courses of the Schools of the Italian Ministry of Culture (Central Institute for Restoration, Opificio delle Pietre Dure, School for Mosaic Restoration);
  • Teachers and students enrolled in academies of fine arts or corresponding institutions in the European Union by showing their certificate of enrolment for the current academic year;
  • Teachers and students in undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate degree programs and PhD programmes in the following faculties: architecture, cultural heritage conservation, educational sciences or humanities and philosophy with an archaeological or historical and artistic focus. The same conditions are granted to faculty and students of corresponding faculties or courses established in member states of the European Union. Free admission is granted to students who show their certificate of enrolment for the current academic year and to faculty members who show appropriate ID;
  • Journalists in good standing with the payment of membership fees, by showing appropriate proof of their professional activities (see Director’s Decree of 7/09/2016 DG Museums);
  • For reasons of study and research certified by Italian or foreign educational or university institutions, academies, research and cultural institutes, as well as Ministry bodies, or for special and justified needs, the Heads of the Institutes may allow free admission to the exhibition venues under their jurisdiction and for specified periods to those who request it;
  • Tenured and term-contract teaching staff are allowed free admission to museums, archaeological areas and parks and state monument complexes. The Italian Ministry of Culture has joined the initiative with regard to access to spaces where exhibitions or temporary displays are set up with an exhibition route separate from the ordinary tour route. As a result, those entitled may access these spaces for a fee, taking advantage of the vouchers, which can be generated through a computer application (istruzione.it), active as of 30 November 2016 (see Circular No. 77/2016 DG Museums);
  • Volunteer association workers operating through agreements at Ministry of Culture local offices;
  • Honorary inspectors and conservators of the Italian Ministry of Culture;
  • Military of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit; members of I.C.C.R.O.M;
  • Italian and foreign scholars for reasons of study and research certified by Italian or foreign educational or university institutions, academies, Italian or foreign research and cultural institutes, as well as Ministry bodies, or for special and justified needs, the Director General may grant annual passes for free admission (Ministerial Decree 239 /2006).

Thanks to the cooperation agreement signed between the Museo Storico di Miramare and PromoTurismoFVG – a regional tourism promotion organisation, free admission to the Castle and Stables is also granted to FVGcard holders (1 admission for each valid card).

NB: Some temporary exhibitions may have an additional charge besides the entrance fee even for visitors entitled to free admission.

In Italian by the staff of the Miramare Historical Museum, with payment of the entrance fee only, on special occasions, announced on the Museum’s website and social media channels.

Electric shuttles

Two open electric-drive vehicles with drivers that allow tourists to comfortably reach the Castle or tour the upper parts of the Park. April to October.
