Visitors are advised that restoration work will begin on three of the wooden statues of lamp-bearing pages located on the north side of the Castle’s Grand Staircase during the week of 20 October 2025.
Preliminary work will involve the erection of scaffolding during the same week, with the exception of Wednesday 22 October. The scaffolding will be erected starting in the morning.
During this phase, museum staff will ensure the proper management of visitor routes, including temporary detours, in order to allow the work to proceed safely and smoothly.
Restoration work will begin on Monday 27 October 2025 and will continue throughout November 2025. To reduce the impact on the use of the spaces, the scaffolding will be dismantled progressively as the restoration of each statue is completed.
