Vittorio Podrecca’s famous marionettes return to the stage on a special journey through the National Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia!

Performances, guided tours and cultural heritage come together in an experience designed for all ages.

The historic marionettes of Vittorio Podrecca, preserved by Il Rossetti – Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia, become the protagonists of a project that connects the National Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia, creating a dialogue between cultural heritage and live performance.

The project is organized by the Historical Museum and Park of Miramare Castle – Regional Directorate of the National Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia in collaboration with Il Rossetti – Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the support of the Directorate-General for Performing Arts of the Italian Ministry of Culture.

HISTORICAL MUSEUM AND PARK OF MIRAMARE CASTLE

3, 4, 5, 8 and 9 July 2026

Programme

• 4:00 pm – Meeting at the Castle Forecourt. An Enchanted Walk through Miramare Park.
• 5:00 pm – Performance by Vittorio Podrecca’s marionettes.

Admission

The performance is free of charge, but admission to the Museum is required. Tickets can be purchased at the Castle and Stables ticket offices.

• Full price €5 (special Podrecca / Teatro Rossetti partner rate)
• Young visitors aged 18–25 €2
• Under 18 free

Holders of a ticket for “Podrecca on the Road in the National Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia” are entitled to reduced admission to the exhibition “A Sphinx Beckons Her”.
