On Sunday, May 3, the sports event Trieste Spring Run / Bavisela Family Run will take place. The event will not directly affect the Miramare area in terms of pedestrian flow; however, a temporary traffic restriction order will be in effect in both directions to and from Trieste.
The coastal road will be closed to traffic from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 3. Therefore, visitors will not be able to reach the Miramare area by car or bus before 5:00 PM.
As a result, Miramare will only be accessible by:
• regular bus services / shuttle buses, until 8:30 AM
• train (with increased service at least in the morning, including two additional connections to the city)
• on foot
• the Trieste–Sistiana maritime line operated by Delfino Verde Navigazione will also be reactivated. This can therefore be considered an alternative way to reach Miramare on Sunday, May 3.
